MLB caps for Memorial day unveiled

As three most important national reflection are on the wing ,all MLB clubs will take part in a series of activities to support Welcome Back Veterans which is a program fulfilling the needs of retuning American Veterans and their families. Since 2008 Welcome Back Veterans has given out $8.3 million to more than 20 non-profit agencies over the country that set to help veterans with mental health and employment training.
All MLB clubs will put on particular new “stars & stripes” hats that have American flag stitch on the team logo on Memorial Day. The cap comes in off-white with blue brims will be produced by New Era cap company who has keep a long term cooperation with MLB. All of the revenue generated from the sale on that day will be donated to Welcome Back Veterans .

All MLB games will pause at 3:00 p.m. and players will pay a silence tribute to all the sacrifices that made by those who served in the forces.

Allan H(Bud) the MLB commissioner said that as a part of the country,MLB take it as a privilege to support our troops by any means and we will call on our fans to join us on Memorial day to raise awareness of the whole country and make our own contribution to Welcome Back Veterans. He added MLB will keep working on how to fundraise for WBV over the long term and see it as a social responsibility and cause.
      “Helping our troops is a cause very close to my heart, and I’m glad to see Major League Baseball will once again pledge their support on Memorial Day and beyond,” said San Francisco Giants pitcher and founder of Strikeouts For Troops, Barry Zito. “I’ll wear my Stars & Stripes cap proudly that day, and I encourage all my fellow players to get involved, give back to those who give so much and show these brave men and women how much we care about them.”
       President and CEO of the Entertainment Industry Lisa Paulsen also said that it is a big honor for EIF to hold hands with MLB to support our veterans and their families.
